The
State News, the student newspaper
at Michigan State University, awards
scholarships for $2,000 annually
to two high school graduates who
have been accepted in MSU.
Each
scholarship will be distributed
in $1,000 payments per semester
for eight non-summer semesters.
Recipients may major in any academic
program at MSU but must maintain
a 3.0 cumulative GPA to remain eligible
for the scholarship. In addition,
recipients will work in paying positions
at The State News after the first
semester of their freshman year,
either in the newsroom or in the
advertising department. The recipients’ State
News pay will be in addition to
their scholarship.
To
qualify for the scholarships, applicants
must have at least a 3.0 GPA and
have demonstrated a strong interest
in high school journalism or advertising
through their newspapers and/or
yearbooks.
Scholarship
applications are available at the
High School Counselor’s office. |
