Invite you to San Diego for the Carrier Classic Events on
 11.11.11

On Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2011, the MSU Spartan Men’s Basketball Team will play the North Carolina Tarheels in the Carrier Classic, played before a special audience of men and women serving in the U.S. armed forces. Michigan State University is honored to take part in this game on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson, a Nimitz class supercarrier anchored in San Diego Bay.

Spartan Fund members within the following levels: Ambassadors, Champions Circle, and Scholarship Level may request travel packages including game tickets. Only individuals at the Ambassador, Champions Circle and Scholarship Level are eligible to request package information.

San Diego will truly be Green and White for Veterans Day weekend.  MSU has planned a number of fun events surrounding the game. So, whether you have a game ticket or not, San Diego is the place to be for 11.11.11. Register early, we anticipate sell out events!

The MSU Carrier Classic Dinner Cruise on the Lord Hornblower cruise ship will depart from the Sheraton San Diego marina, and tour the harbor from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Past members of the MSU Men’s Basketball Team will be on board. Includes dinner and a hosted bar. $125 per person (reduced prices available for MSUAA members, Spartan Fund donors, and active military personnel).

Friday, November 11, 2011 (game day)

The MSU Carrier Classic Game Day Breakfast at the Hotel del Coronado,the MSU team hotel, will feature Tom Izzo, the 2011 Men’s Basketball Team, Magic Johnson, President Lou Anna K. Simon and other special guests. The breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 9:30 a.m. $75 per person.

The MSU Carrier Classic Game Watch Partywill be hosted at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse on Harbor Island with an outdoor balcony overlooking San Diego Bay, the carrier and the city skyline. Past basketball team members will join the party in this beautiful facility to watch the game and post-game concert broadcast on ESPN. Event cost includes dinner with cash bar. $35 per person (reduced prices available for children and MSUAA members).
