Stacey Telesz
President
Stacey graduated from MSU’s College of Engineering in 2003 with a BS in Civil Engineering and has been out in CA since 2004 doing technical sales for a large chemical company. Stacey’s favorite memories at MSU were tailgating for football games and eating Georgios pizza. She’s always at Rudy’s in Newport Beach for all the MSU game watch parties!
Brandon O'Leary
Vice President
Brandon grew up in Macomb Township and studied accounting at MSU. Always longing to live in SoCal, he put in a transfer with his financial firm and was ecstatic when they relocated him to OC in 2009. He now lives in Aliso Viejo with his wife Lauren, who has become an honorary Spartan.
Pete Scribner
Treasurer
Pete graduated from MSU in ’77 with a BA in Accounting, he lives part time in Orange County and Phoenix and owns his own accounting firm in OC. He enjoys playing golf and softball.
Judie Thompson
Secretary
Judie grew up in Lakeview; near Battle Creek and graduated from MSU’s Educational Intern Program. She has taught kindergarten through eighth grades and also weekend courses at UCI for fellow educators. She has indoctrinated her husband and son into the MSU culture, and has attended some of the recent football bowl games and final four games.
Aimee Bolen
Past President/Golf Tournament Committee
Aimee graduated from MSU’s school of Engineering in 2002 with a degree in Engineering Arts / Packaging. She was lured out to SoCal for her first packaging job at ConAgra Foods and has made Costa Mesa her home and Packaging her career ever since. Aimee’s favorite MSU memories include – participating in the Izzone (and camping 30 hours for tickets), paddling a concrete canoe down the Red Cedar and visiting the Dairy Store almost every time she was in the Engineering/Food Science building (surprisingly not gaining 50lbs).
Matt Lehman
Matt graduated from MSU’s school of Business in 1998 with a degree in Human Resources Management. He moved to OC in 2000 and owns his own business as an Executive Recruiter. Matt’s favorite MSU memories include being in the Izzone for the 1998-2000 seasons, going to 2 Final Four games (St Pete & Indianapolis), and celebrating a College Basketball National Championship in the streets of East Lansing with thousands of MSU students.
Karla Nichols
Karla graduated from MSU with a Veterinary Medicine Degree. She owns Mariner’s Mile Pet Clinic in Newport Beach and enjoys doing CrossFit! She is a huge MSU Spartan sports fan so you will always see her at all the Rudy’s game watch parties unless she’s attending the game.
Sharon Paisley
Sharon Paisley graduated from the School of Communication Arts with a teaching degree and taught junior high for 12 years in LA Schools while raising two children, Suzanne and Craig. Her fondest memory is traveling to the Rose Bowl in 1956 and traveling with the fabulous Spartan football team to many Big Ten schools. She caught the first plane out of Michigan to SoCal after graduation.
Garry TeWinkle
Garry graduated from MSU with a degree in business in 1961. Following graduation from Officer Candidate School and the Navy Supply Corps School, he served as a supply officer on the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown and at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard and now has owned a law office in Newport Beach for over forty years. One of his favorite memories is when he and thirty other SoCal Spartans had a Magical weekend in Salt Lake City for the NCAA basketball tournament’s Final Four.
Mike Getto
Mike graduated in 1956 with a BA from The School of Hospitality Business. He has lived in 12 states and 3 foreign countries and worked in 71 countries in his 58 years in the hotel business. He is now with “The Hills Hotel” in Laguna Hills, CA.
Craig Rowley
Craig graduated from MSU in 1983 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati after college then moved to SoCal in 1985 taking a job with McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) in Huntington Beach. His favorite MSU memories include Saturday football games, good friends and El Azteco nachos.
Tim Thatcher
After growing up in Okemos and graduating from the business school in 2006, Tim relocated to OC at the end of 2008. Forever loyal to MSU and Detroit sports (and never to the Lakers), Tim lives in OC with his wife Alexia and their son London.
Brooke Bismack
Brooke is originally from Bay City. She moved to Cali 15 years ago and is a kindergarten teacher in Laguna Beach. When she’s not extremely busy teaching our youth you can find her cheering on the Spartans at Rudy’s and playing the cowbell (she’s our designated cowbell ringer).
Erin Lucian
Erin is originally from DeWitt, Mich. and graduated from MSU in 2014 with a BA in Communication. She moved to Orange County in the fall of 2014 for a job in marketing. Her favorite memory from her time in school is visiting Pasadena during her senior year for the 100th Rose Bowl Game.
Dan Seidman
Scholarship Chair
Dan graduated from MSU with a BA in Education, he works for MSU as the West Coast Regional Admission Counselor. He has helped grow the amount of students from CA that head back to MSU over the years!
